When I was a kid, I used to not like watching horror movies because I would not be able to sleep at night thinking about what would happen if something attacked me.

During those nights, I would hear lots of noises that kept my eyes open. I'm just waiting to see if something approaches me. Years passed like that, until I finally got older and realized that it was just a movie. Nothing like that could happen in the real world. Until one day, when I was 24 years old, I was sleeping in my bed and suddenly felt something watching me. I woke up but felt paralyzed. I could not open my eyes, and I could not move my body. It was like something was holding me down. That incident terrified me so much that I decided to look into what had happened to me. After some searching, I found out that feeling like you could not move after waking up is something that rarely happens to people. learning that made me feel much safer.
 
However, it still did not explain the feeling of being watched. I had no idea what was watching me that night, but I was about to find out. It was like any other normal night of sleeping, but on that day I felt like I was being watched again. I forced myself to return my head to look. When I managed to look behind me, I did not see anything. I felt relieved, thinking it was all in my head. Then, suddenly, I saw a shadow move. I stopped and stared at it until it finally disappeared and I fell asleep from being so tired. The next morning, I forced myself to find an explanation of what that was. I convinced myself it was just a normal shadow caused by lights coming from outside. A couple days passed by without feeling anything watching me. Making me think it was all in my mind and feeling better, I was not being crazy. Until one day, I was video calling with someone. I had to leave my room and left the phone facing the wall in my room, where my drawing of a skull was hanging. When I came back, my friend on the call had a shocked face. I asked what happened, and they told me they saw a shadow walking across my room in front of the drawing. I had never told anyone about seeing a shadow there. Since that day, when I'm in my room, I feel something watching me day and night, always  in the corner where the skull drawing is, never leaving my side.
